Angela & Andy’s wedding was the first we shot in 2019. What we really loved from this wedding was the use of lots of green florals in combination with a lot of white decor for the reception space at Mon Cheri. It made for a very modern and clean aesthetic that we thought was just absolutely beautiful.
Even though the rain pushed Nicole & James’ original courtyard ceremony indoors, the beautiful interior of Ebell of Los Angeles still made for a wonderful backdrop as they tied the knot in early February. We’ve only shot at the EBell of Long Beach prior to this, and the LA variant is just as unique and gorgeous in its architecture and design.
It’s been a minute since the last time we shot at the wonderful Strawberry Farms in Irvine, CA. The venue is just as beautiful as we remember, and over the weekend, we put together a same day edit for Joanna & Collin (who are such an amazingly sweet and down to earth couple). These always make us a little nervous, but the end result is always so worth it!
2018 marked 8 years for us doing weddings, and since 8 is such an important number to us (it’s in the name!), I thought it might be nice do a recap video of moments from the many weddings we shot this past year. We’re so happy to have been a part of each one and are thankful for all the couples who trusted us to capture their big day in 2018. We’re excited for an even bigger and more epic 2019 and look forward to the amazing moments and smiles to come in the next year. Cheers, and happy new year!
Amanda is definitely one of the sweetest girls you’ll meet while Joe is that guy that instantly becomes everybody’s best friend. It should be no surprise then that they make a perfect pairing and that their wedding was full of moments both funny and awesome. Weddings should be a celebration, not a performance, and Amanda & Joe’s wedding definitely lived up to that.
It’s a little crazy to think that Marlene & John have been together since they were kids. Those kinds of relationships are hard to find in today’s world of dating apps. But hearing their vows, it all makes sense. They’ve been in love with each other for as long as they can remember and continue to be in love with each other despite, as they say, knowing each other fully.
We closed out our 2018 weddings with a same day edit up in Monterey for Marie & Brent’s big day. At first, things were looking grim as rain was expected for some major parts of the day. But just right before we departed to shoot portraits in the late afternoon, the skies cleared, and nature provided us with the beautiful shots you see toward the end of the video. +1 to nature for coming through for us at the very last minute, and congrats again to Marie & Brent! It was a pleasure to shoot you both as our final wedding of the year!
A bit of rain didn’t stop Cindy & Brian from putting on an amazing October wedding. Some quick highlights that come to mind include a duck carving station during cocktail hour, indoor (somehow non-flammable) sparklers to end their first dance, and lots and lots of swigging on the dance floor that was a clear indication everybody was ready to have great time with the couple.
We bring over 15 years of experience shooting weddings. It's been quite the journey!
