Ivy & Rich’s wedding was definitely the joining of two families. From the way in which the women in Rich’s family wore traditional Vietnamese dresses during the earlier tea ceremony to the way in which Ivy’s family got down the dance floor jamming out to the awesome American band they had for nighttime, it truly was a perfect celebration of both sides.
What stuck out to me about Hannah & Vincent’s vows was how they both mentioned their loyalty and devotion to one another. And that’s really what vows are about–having the devotion to commit to one another physically and emotionally. Hannah also said it beautifully when she stated that Vincent is the “million dreams of a little girl come true.” What a poetic way to summarize up their love.
Although we’ve shot at the Christ Cathedral many times in the past for portraits or the occasional church ceremony, Carmen & Henry’s wedding actually marked the first time we shot an outdoor ceremony and reception in their events area at the Cathedral Cultural Center. We’ve definitely been missing out as it’s a gorgeous space by day and night and made for some beautiful backdrops throughout the day especially during our sunset session with Carmen & Henry.
